In the main square of Ravello there is the ancient tower, the entrance to the magnificent Villa Rufolo. The atmosphere of the site is marked by the millennial influences of Arab culture. A chapel with vaulted ceilings and a suggestive hall, the ancient “dining room”, hosted high-ranking personalities, among whom Pope Adrian IV and King Robert of Anjou.

The Moorish cloister, an architectural jewel of great charm, is enclosed by a portico with pointed arches, on which rests a double order of loggias, with arabesque decorations.

The charm of Villa Rufolo reaches its peak in the famous garden, loved by Wagner. On the terrace overlooking the sea is celebrated the Wagner Festival, which every year attracts extraordinary international artists.
