Cathedral of Amalfi

The Cathedral of Amalfi, the main place of Catholic worship of the city of the same name, is a structure dating back to the ninth century with architectural features ranging from Romanesque to Baroque up to the Rococo. The cathedral is dedicated to the Apostle Saint Andrew. Predominantly of Arab-Norman Romanesque architectural style, it has been remodeled several times, adding Romanesque, Byzantine, Gothic and Baroque elements. To visit, inside the Cathedral, the Basilica of the Crucifix also dating back to the IX century, the Crypt of Saint Andrew and the famous Cloister of Paradise.
