This circuit is of medium difficulty and with a duration of about 2 hours, the difference in height is considerable (about350m) and the paths are challenging from go. Reached but the destination is undoubtedly remarkable the view that is appreciated from the overhanging views of Amalfi, the convent in fact lies on a modest plateau characteristic overlooking the Gulf in the peace and tranquility of a place certainly sacred and of relevance historical remarkable, hosting the ruins of a medieval construction of the years 1000, the first news about it go back first to a church dedicated to the Most Holy Savior in the years 1090, and then leave room for news found in a testament of 1190 where we cite a Monastery of Cospidi; later the chronicles tell that it was the home of Francesco della Rovere who became Pope in 1471. In late 1800 it was a den, a shelter for the bandits of the place.
It is possible to reach these ancient ruins from the square of San Lazzaro, descending towards the belvedere and following the ancient Via Maestra dei Villaggi. From here follow the steps until you reach a crossroads at the height of Tovere, here follow the mountain on the left going up the rocky wall to the plateau of Cospita.
